The University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) is a public university funded by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) within Iraq (www.krg.org). It is committed to excellence in teaching and research. Along with meeting international standards in academic management, the University plans to expand to a new campus through a $150 million initial investment. While in its development and expansion phase, the University’s R&D team expects as many as 10,000 students to be studying and earning degrees there. To support the University’s strategic development within the next five years, the University seeks to employ an enthusiastic and well qualified candidate to fill the position of Human Resource Officer. The potential candidate will participate in the execution of human resource policies, procedures and functions as instructed by the Director of Human Resources. 

Minimum Qualifications:
This prospective full-time staff member will have the following minimum qualifications, skills and competencies: 

Earned a bachelor’s / master’s in Human Resource Management or related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in records management, HR policies development and employee recruitment. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to native-level English speakers. While the minimum level of education is a bachelor’s degree, preference will be given to applicants that hold master’s or PhD in Human Resource Management. Preferred candidate will have strong commercial awareness, have good organizing skills and be able to develop plans, policies and forecasts. Candidates with CIPD qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
