Placement and Internship Officer (Three Posts)

The UEA Careers Service is seeking three highly motivated Placement and Internship Officers to develop existing and new opportunities for students to gain work-based experience through placements and internships. The successful candidates will play a key role in helping deliver the University’s commitment to providing a programme of opportunities for students to maximise their potential in their academic work and in the workplace. Each Officer will join a new, small team based within one of three Faculties; Science, Social Science and Humanities. As part of the application process candidates can draw on their experience to express a Faculty preference.

An experienced professional and a confident communicator, you will have the ability to use your interpersonal, presentation and networking skills to support students into placements and to develop effective internal and external relationships. You will be self-motivated, able to work independently; be proactive in your approach and be able to manage multiple deadlines effectively including working to institutional targets.

You will have a degree or other equivalent professional qualification and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria detailed in the person specification.

The posts are available from 10 November 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter on a full-time, indefinite basis.

The University is a Bronze Athena Swan Award holder, currently working towards Silver.
