PhD Studentship - Analytics and Data Science for Government and Policy

PhD studentship in analytics and data science for government and policy for January/April 2018.

The Institute for Analytics and Data Science (IADS) is accepting applications from candidates interested in pursuing graduate studies at the PhD level in the area of data science, analytics and big data.

We are looking for outstanding and motivated candidates who are interested in undertaking research in topics in machine learning, predictive modelling and analytics, natural language processing, text analytics and related areas. Strong programming skills in high level programming languages (Python, C, Java) is a requirement and prior experience in undertaking research and projects in the aforementioned areas is desirable. Successful applicants will have an excellent first degree and/or a Masters degree in computer science, statistics, artificial intelligence, quantitative social science or closely related subject in engineering/science.

The Institute has the following fully funded studentship available: Studentship in analytics and data science for government and policy.

This is a fully funded 3-year studentship (covering Home/EU and overseas fees as well as stipend of £14,553).
