Keith Sykes Research Fellowship in Italian Studies

Pembroke College, Cambridge

Pembroke College hopes to elect not later than 31 January 2018 to a Keith Sykes research fellowship in Italian studies, starting from 1 October 2018. Candidates should have recently completed or be about to complete a doctoral degree. The College welcomes applications from scholars with research interests in any aspect of Italian culture and history from the age of Dante to the present: relevant disciplines may include Italian language and literature, music, history and art history. The tenure of the Fellowship will be for five years. The holder will be encouraged to do a limited amount of teaching for the College, and to offer an annual course of lectures in a relevant University Department or Faculty, but would require the permission of the Governing Body to undertake other paid work, and will be expected to support an annual “Italian evening”, and other related events, and the annual Keith Sykes Lecture. The stipend payable from 1 October 2018 will range from £22,494 to £25,298 and is reviewed annually. Further financial particulars are available on request.

Applications, which are due by 30 September 2017, should be made online at http://www.pem.cam.ac.uk/the-college/job-vacancies/, where further particulars are available.
