Senior Project Manager

Open University - Academic Services, Access Careers and Teaching Support

Based in Milton Keynes

Temporary contract for 12 months

A number of years ago, Higher Education Institutions identified that students from BME backgrounds, and students with disabilities, are awarded proportionately fewer ‘good’ degrees than their respective white and non-disabled counterparts. Reducing this degree awarding gap is now an Institutional Equality Objective. We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to manage and deliver projects identified to assist with reducing this gap.

Working with a Senior Accountable Executive, The Head of Equality Diversity and Information Rights, and a project team, you will lead projects from start to close, ensuring the achievement of key deliverables within agreed time, cost and scope thresholds.

We want to hear from you if you have project management experience and can demonstrate the ability to deliver successfully against objectives. You will have knowledge and experience in using project management methodology. You should also possess excellent communication and networking skills.

The successful candidate will benefit from demonstrating experience of and implementing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles.

This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate and we encourage you to contact us to find out more.
