Salary Details: Grade 7 £41,212 - £49,149 per annum Allowances: £2,923 London Allowance 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Strategic Projects Manager for the Department of Chemistry at King's College London, one of the world's top 20 universities. The Department of Chemistry is located on the Guy’s Campus in the heart of central London. There are currently around 20 academic staff, approximately 250 undergraduate students (including approximately 20 MSci students), and 50 PhD students. The post holder will manage the development of the department growth strategy and lead the execution of this strategy. The role is instrumental to successful delivery of the vision for innovative Chemistry at King’s during this unique and exciting phase of department expansion. The role includes strategic planning and recruitment of new academic staff, as well as managing capital budgets and departmental space.

We are looking for candidates with excellent organizational, research and project management skills. You should have strong communication and relationship-building skills and work well with different personalities. Significant experience of managing a busy and varied workload and delivering to tight deadlines is essential and you must have the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
