Full-time, although part-time hours 0.8 FTE 30 hours per week or a job share would be considered fixed-term contract for two years.

The EXCEED study is a local cohort of 10,000 individuals with linkage to longitudinal electronic health care records and genome-wide genotype data. The Project Manager will play a key role in all aspects of cohort development, research and project management in order to promote best use of the EXCEED study in line with its original aims to generate new biomedical science findings.

You will maintain operational oversight of all aspects of the cohort whilst simultaneously providing support to the research team and exploring innovative ways to develop the study. You will be expected to be pro-active in all planning requirements of the post, so excellent organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to organise and manage others.

As the ideal candidate you will be educated to degree level, and a PhD or equivalent relevant experience would be beneficial. You will have experience of conducting research in an academic or NHS setting, of quantitative research methods and managing research projects.
