Sackler Research Forum Administrative Assistant (0.4FTE)

The Courtauld Institute of Art is the UK’s leading institution for teaching and research into the History of Art and the conservation of paintings, and is also home to one of the finest small art museums in the world.

The Sackler Research Forum Administrative Assistant will support the administrative team responsible for The Courtauld’s ambitious programme of research events which includes seminars, workshops, conferences, public lectures and debates, and an annual research festival (‘ResFest’). Supported by generous funding by the Sackler Trust, the Research Forum supports and promotes the research interests of The Courtauld’s academics, curators, and postgraduate students, and the wider fields with which we are engaged. Moreover, the Research Forum provides support for the dissemination and discussion of advanced research within specialist communities, as well as for the wider public (under the banner of the ‘Open Courtauld’ strand). The Administrative Assistant will help the team to deliver its programme of events. A particular responsibility will be to produce the Research Forum’s regular newsletters; in addition, the Administrative Assistant will assist with event documentation and delivery.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, with an eye for detail, who is reliable and a self-starter. Experience of working successfully in a team, and with social media and written communications, would be an asset. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of how to communicate a complex programme to a diverse and growing audience.
