Teaching and Learning Administrator

University College London - UCL The Bartlett School of Architecture

The UCL Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment is the UK’s largest and leading multidisciplinary Faculty of the Built Environment; covering Architecture, Construction and Project Management, Planning and Environmental Design and other specialist fields. Set within the Faculty, The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint two new Teaching and Learning Administrator roles to be primarily based in the new facility at Here East, on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We will run a range of innovative new Teaching and Research programmes and the team of two Teaching and Learning Administrators will provide specialist administration for: MEng Engineering and Architectural Design, MArch Design for Manufacture, MArch Design for Performance & Innovation and MA Situated Practice courses. The MEng Engineering and Architectural Design is a collaboration with departments across the UCL Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, so this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in establishing a truly collaborative venture.

The specialist administration will encompass support of learning activities of students from initial enquiry through to completion of study. This will incorporate supporting a range of processes relating to course/programme administration, student records and enquiries, examinations and assessment, committees, meetings and reports and general administrative support whilst ensuring UCL and Bartlett procedures are followed.

We are looking for applicants with experience in Further or Higher Education who have undertaken a similar course/programme administration role. In addition, the role requires interaction with a wide range of people internal and external to UCL which will require a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook. As Here East is a new site the role holders will be expected to work flexibly across different areas, deal with a variety of queries and provide general administrative support during the initial transition stage.

Applicants should apply online. To access further details about the position and how to apply please click on the ‘Apply’ button below.

If you have any queries regarding the vacancy or application process, please contact Emmy Green or Sheetal Saujani HR & Staffing Officers, at bartlett.arch.hr@ucl.ac.uk or on 020 3108 6172/6134.

Closing Date: 20 September 2017

Latest time for the submission of applications: 23.59.

Interview Date: TBC

We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within UCL at this level.
