Applications are invited for TWO Teaching Fellow positions in the Department of Informatics at King's College London, to be taken up as soon as possible. 

The successful candidate will be expected to: 

  • Take part in teaching and examining for the Department’s undergraduate teaching programmes in computer science and the postgraduate teaching programmes in computer networking and data science. 
  • Undertake administrative duties as directed by the Head of Department 

The post holder must have a PhD (or be nearing completion) in Informatics or computer science or a related discipline with experience of teaching to undergraduates or postgraduates. A postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. A good knowledge of contemporary teaching and learning approaches in higher education in computer science is essential, as is a knowledge of widening participation and its objectives within the higher education sector. Knowledge and experience of teaching and research in computer networking, machine learning, and analysis of networked and/or geospatial data is essential.

Candidates should have experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level, developing, assessing and evaluating a course/module, and providing intellectual leadership.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview.

Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 16th October.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to make a presentation on the day of the interview or the day before.
