This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the University’s Residence Support team at a time of development and change. You’ll be a confident and motivated individual who is looking for an opportunity to work in a supportive yet demanding environment. You’ll be able to empathise and understand the experiences of students and offer effective, sensitive and professional support whilst at the same time investigate and manage anti-social behaviour in our Halls of Residence.

Working as part of a team that is committed to the delivery of expert student support and advice, you will also act as a mentor for a team of student Resident Advisers, ensuring that they are equipped and able to provide effective peer support to fellow students living in Residences.

The nature of the role requires the Residence Support Officers to work flexible hours on a three week shift pattern. Duties will vary but will include regular evening and some weekend work. In addition, you will be on call during evenings and at weekends as part of an out of hours rota.
