Professional and Community Engagement Manager

University of Bristol - Careers Service

The University of Bristol is an exciting place to be. We are currently implementing our new Vision and Strategy, at the heart of which is Bristol Futures. This innovative initiative aims to transform the educational experience for our students. It will build upon our existing reputation for disciplinary education by preparing opportunities for students to engage more widely and prepare them for life beyond University. The Professional & Community Engagement (PACE) Manager will be an integral member of a professional and supportive team responsible for delivering Bristol Futures.

The development of a coordinated programme of professional and community engagement activities forms an essential part of the initiative and role. We are looking to appoint a PACE Manager to build, encourage and maintain relationships and collaborations between the University and organisations, providing PACE opportunities for all our students by September 2019.

You will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working across numerous stakeholders, be able to influence and persuade, be comfortable working with ambiguity whilst the initiative matures and have proven project management and organisation skills.

The role will initially reside within the Careers Service. The Service engages with hundreds of employers each year, both large graduate recruiters, as well as local SMEs. We’re the third most targeted UK institution by Times Top 100 employers. In due course, the role will be hosted in a Bristol Futures entity.

If you are wanting to join a team that is creative, motivated and focused on supporting our students to get to where they want to be, then we look forward to hearing from you.

For informal enquiries, please contact Stuart Johnson, Director of Careers Service: 0117 331 7074
