Job Purpose

To provide specialist support by maintaining and enhancing a commercially available software package, namely the University of Glasgow ECG analysis program (the Glasgow Program), which is marketed and used worldwide. [The ECG (or electrocardiogram) reflects the electrical activity of the heart.]

To carry out research and development into new techniques for use in automated ECG interpretation.

Standard Terms & Conditions

Salary will be on the Technical & Specialist Grade, level 7, £34,520 - £38,833 per annum.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding for 1 year in the first instance with the prospect of continuation.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
