Programme Manager for the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre Breast Cancer Programme

The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager to support the Breast Cancer Programme. This is an exciting new position, and the Programme Manager will work directly with the Programme Director, Professor Carlos Caldas, in managing the programme specific duties and responsibilities. This Programme Manager will also work directly with the CRUK Cambridge Centre administrative office in meeting the strategic goals of the Centre and liaising with the office and other programme and project managers in the Centre.

The Programme Manager will provide assistance with overall Programme strategy: helping draft strategic documents; with grant writing and submission; oversight of website's design and ongoing maintenance; overseeing the co-ordination of the large portfolio of clinical and translational studies; overseeing and organising the annual Visiting Professor and Annual Retreat; liaison of major projects; liaison with Industry; chairing team meetings; administer the Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit and prepare the move to new Cancer Hospital and Institute of Precision Breast Medicine.

Applicants will ideally have a relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent.  In addition, they will have excellent organisation skills, management experience, knowledge of governance and regulatory aspects of trial management, and excellent problem solving ability. 

Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, a systematic and rigorous approach to work, and the ability to work in a team.
