L/SL in Paramedic Science

The School of Allied Health Professions is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic UK-HCPC registered paramedic to join our School and paramedic team who will contribute evidence based teaching on our successful Paramedic programmes.

The Role

The post holder will teach mostly our paramedic students and also other students at all HE levels at our Canterbury and Medway campuses using different learning and teaching methods. You will contribute to the wider work of the paramedic team and the School including contributing to the development of new initiatives, practice learning, liaising with external colleagues in the UK and abroad.


We welcome applications from experienced paramedics able to offer high-level practice knowledge and skills, who are committed to inter-professional higher education and who, ideally, have some experience working within the Higher Education sector. Experience of working as a qualified Critical Care Paramedic is also desirable. You will have evidence of active continuing professional development and be research active, or have interest in developing your research expertise.

The post holder will be a UK-HCPC registered paramedic and have a minimum of an Honours Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

This post can be offered full time or part time and is permanent.
