Peer Support Administrator

University of Bath - Students' Union

The Students’ Union at the University of Bath are looking for a motivated and organised individual to provide administrative support for the Peer Support team. The Peer Support team are responsible for supporting the university’s peer mentoring and peer assisted learning (PAL) schemes. The post holder will work collaboratively with various stakeholders including Students’ Union staff, academic staff, professional services staff, as well as student volunteers.

Key responsibilities will include providing administrative support for a diverse range of peer support activities, including the recruitment and training of student volunteers, as well as servicing meetings.

The post-holder will have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and will be confident using various Microsoft Office packages. The post-holder will be able to demonstrate strong skills working in a team, as well as being able to work independently using their own initiative.

Previous experience of office support is essential. Knowledge of student support and the HE sector is desirable. The University of Bath Students’ Union has been awarded a SUEI (Students’ Union Evaluation Initiative) Gold award, Investing in Volunteers award and is an Investor in People.

The post is being offered on a part time basis (21.9 hours per week). Days of work can be negotiated although it is likely the post-holder will work three days a week, including Mondays and Fridays.
