Senior Research Associate

The Research for Equitable Access and Learning (REAL) Centre in the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge in central Cambridge, wishes to appoint a Senior Research Associate.

You will work with colleagues in the REAL Centre on on-going funded research projects related to education and international development, and support the development of new research projects in this area.  The expectation is that you will be involved in data analysis, writing of co-authored publications, managing research projects and staff, and preparation of future research funding applications.

Applicants must hold a a PhD in Education, Development Studies or a cognate area in the social sciences, or equivalent research training, experience and achievement.  You will also need proven skills in quantitative methods of data analysis; evidence of ability to prepare publications for peer-reviewed journals (including reviewing literature, and analysis and write-up of research); experience of research project management and managing research staff.  You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, with proven ability to take day-to-day responsibility for workload and maintaining tight timelines, and evidence of interest in the REAL Centre's activities.
