The Micro-Placement Programme (MPP) is an award-winning scheme which started as a pilot with the City Law School (CLS) in 2016. The MPP seeks to bridge the gap between the educational environment and the demands of professional life, to strengthen the development of transferable skills and to enhance the retention of our students by providing short term work placements with organisations throughout Central and Greater London. The programme has now secured funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to deliver several Micro-Placements across many departments at City and seeks the support of a Project Coordinator for a fixed term contract up to 31 March 2019.

Working closely with the Employer Engagement Manager and Adviser (Micro-Placements) and named academics within Schools will be essential to the success of this project. Your responsibilities will include: supporting student registration processes for MPP workshops and administering attendance through CareersHub. Promoting MPP via email, social media etc. collecting feedback and data analysis, screening applications, assisting with student interviews and providing constructive feedback. Occasionally assisting with the delivery of advice workshops, meeting students to monitor their progress and helping to set action plans in collaboration with the Adviser. Occasional evening work will be required.

Person Specification
You will be an experienced project coordinator / administrator, ideally familiar with a Client Relationship Management system such as CareersHub. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of using social media for marketing purposes. A good eye for detail and a proactive, tenacious approach to obtaining information and completing tasks will be essential to meet deadlines in this busy environment. You will be a confident and diplomatic communicator; comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
