Lecturer in Occupational Psychology

This is an exciting time to join Coventry University and the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences. With a University Gold TEF rating, and outstanding NSS scores in our courses, we have a demonstrable commitment to student experience. Due to continued student growth, and in support of the School’s strategic plan, we are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Occupational Psychology. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated lecturer to contribute to teaching, assessment and curriculum design on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

You will be a student-centred academic who adopts a flexible approach through research-informed teaching. You will have demonstrable experience of the assessment process and the ability to increase student satisfaction on our courses. As the role will also require you to develop and maintain productive relationships with placement providers, employers and other stakeholders, you will need a high level of inter-personal skills, and personal effectiveness to promote a high quality experience for all our stakeholders. You will have a strong commitment to continuing professional development and to inter-professional and international perspectives. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with experience of delivering postgraduate teaching and/or CPD.

The School is recognised for the high quality of its provision of applied and professional courses. This includes a broad portfolio of on-campus, off-campus, blended and distance learning courses both discipline and profession specific. The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences has strong partnerships with employers and placement providers from a range of sectors including Local Authority Social Services, Strategic Health Authorities, NHS Trusts, education, and the independent, voluntary and the private sectors.  Research activity is an integral part of the Faculty's business and there is a strong commitment to enabling staff to engage in a wide range of research and scholarship. You will be given opportunities to develop your research interests and are expected to contribute to the Faculty’s research profile.

Applicants must have a relevant Master’s degree or a PhD in an appropriate subject and experience of delivering in an educational setting.
