The role

As Programme Development & Operations Manager, you will lead the programme and operations team at Central Saint Martins Short Courses to successfully develop, plan, deliver and review the annual programme of 800+ short courses, study abroad, portfolio programmes and customised training, in line with the unit’s income and profit targets.

This is a successful team, managing and delivering high quality courses in art, design, fashion, communication and performance to over 8,500 students each year.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will ensure our programme of courses delivers a high quality experience for students, and is scheduled and developed in line with market demands. You will also ensure our programme optimises our use of space, facilities and expertise at Central Saint Martins.

Your profile

You will have a proven track record of course management and team coordination, ideally in a large scale commercial course operation, managing both academic teaching staff and a large administrative coordination team.

You will have strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively working in a busy and fast paced environment. Experience of managing business processes and reviewing and improving these is a key requirement of the role.

You will have the skills to communicate confidently with a wide range of stake-holders, and the ability to collaborate and work with colleagues across the college and university to make things happen. You will have management experience, and a genuine commitment to providing exemplary customer experience, and motivating all of the team to strive for the same.

As you will oversee the unit’s customised training offer for individuals, groups and companies, experience working with clients to develop bespoke programmes will support your success in the role.
