The Careers Service at Oxford University is one of the more innovative and engaged such services in the UK. Our mission is to provide and involve all of our clients in a range of high value career-focused services, programmes and activities to encourage and enable them to make and implement well-informed decisions about their careers. We serve current Oxford students (23,000 undergraduates and postgraduates), 4,500 research staff, an international community of 250,000 alumni, and 12,000 employers and other opportunity providers.

The Internship Office operates within the Careers Service and was established in 2009 to provide Oxford students with work experience opportunities in the UK and internationally. Provision has grown to incorporate four distinct programmes: Internship Programme (offering placements of up to six weeks’ duration); Moritz-Heyman Internships (providing dedicated support for students in receipt of Moritz-Heyman scholarships); Micro-internship Programme (three-to-five day placements with local organisations)

We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Internships Office Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent level of personal organisation and be a highly effective communicator, particularly in liaising with external organisations. They will be flexible, responsive and be able to take initiative in order to deliver successfully the programmes for which they are responsible.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 29 September 2017. Interviews are anticipated to be held in the week commencing 9 October 2017, with the intention that the successful candidate starts as soon as possible.
