The Department of Computing is investing in its research and teaching capacity with a goal of making a substantial submission to the Computer Science and Informatics Unit of Assessment in REF 2021.

We are looking for an academic in Software Engineering with particular interests in programming, software testing and test-driven development. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality learning environment for students and contribute to the development of new and exciting courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will join an existing research group in the department and work with colleagues to build both research capacity and deliver impact.

As well as the ability to inspire and motivate students, you'll need a research profile that is on target for a strong return to the next Research Assessment Exercise (REF), alongside the ability to undertake independent high-quality research in an appropriate specialism. A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience is essential.

For non-EU applicants, we may be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job if required.
