Support Analyst/Functional Developer

Student Systems is seeking to appoint a Functional Developer within the team working on various IT services which support student administrative activities. This is a technical role and the postholder is expected to make a significant hands-on contribution to the support and development of systems in the Student Systems portfolio. The prime system is built on SITS Vision/eVision and the purpose of this post is to contribute to the configuration and customisation of this and the other IT student services for the University of Oxford.

The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who uses a combination of strong technical skills, subject matter experience, and analytical insight to investigate, resolve, and deliver a wide range of incidents, problems, changes, and enhancements across multiple business areas. The postholder works as part of a wider team of analysts and developers and has extensive interaction with service users across the University. Experience of using database management systems (e.g. SQL), HTML and CSS in a development and or technical support role is essential whilst knowledge of SITS is desirable.
