About the role

The Product Administrator – Data Integration will join an existing team of 5 Product Administrators to carry out data entry and quality checks of new product datasheets and protocol booklets. Alongside this screen potential new products to ensure they met our quality standards in terms of the data (WB, IHC, ICC, Flow Cytometry images). They would also support any data up validation activities for our existing products. 

These roles are offered on a one-year contract basis. 

About Product Data Integration (PDI) team at Abcam

The goal of the PDI team is to ensure that all product data on our catalogue is the most up to date, comprehensive and scientifically correct allowing our customers to discover more, faster. We also play key role in expanding our product portfolio giving our customers the latest and most relevant products for their area of interest.

As part of the PDI team we are able to network and build relationships with a number of teams and departments across our global offices. Individuals also have many opportunities to use their organization and communication skills to drive key product additions and initiatives within the team.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Compile/check datasheets and protocol booklets for all new products. Ensuring that they contain all information required by customers and adhere to our guidelines.
  • Review images received from our partners to ensure our strict quality standards are upheld.
  • Carry out datasheet up validation activities providing our customers with the most up to date data.
  • Meet weekly KPIs 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute toward our need to continually improve our processes and product information. 

About you

You will hold a degree in a Life Sciences Discipline and have experience of at least one of the following antibody based applications: Western Blot (WB), IHC, ICC, FC. Intermediate MS Office skills are a requirement for this position, some scientific writing experience and advanced MS Office skills would be a plus.

You must have meticulous attention to detail and have experience in the use of bioinformatics databases including Uniprot, NCBI, Genecards.

You must be able to prioritise your workload accordingly to meet deadlines and adapt to changes in tasks quickly and efficiently. Strong time management and organisational skills are key in this role. You must be able to communicate effectively with the team especially on workload related and feedback topics.
