Employer Engagement Manager

We are looking for an exceptional individual who has the drive and determination to develop and expand our engagement with a wide range of employers and organisations across the UK.

Your role will be to work collaboratively with a range of employers and organisations, securing a strong commitment to the UK’s STEM education and skills agenda. Working directly with employers and other partners, you will succeed in positively engaging employers - both financially and practically - with our programmes of support,  as well as initiate new projects that will contribute positively to raising aspirations and educational standards to enable more young people to pursue STEM related education and careers.

With excellent communication, planning, IT and organisational skills, candidates must have a proven track record in establishing, maintaining and continually developing effective and productive business to business or education – business partnerships. You will have a robust understanding of STEM education and the skills agenda including national issues, challenges and opportunities.

The ability to think analytically and strategically will enable you to respond creatively to challenges whilst your highly developed communication skills will enable you to work remotely and effectively with colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders.

UK travel will be required to fulfill the role.

The National STEM Learning Centre and Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of CPD, resources, online communities in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward ongoing development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people.

Remuneration and benefits

Salary £40k - £50k dependent on experience. Appointment to this role enables access to the USS pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a wide range of staff benefits. The office base may be in London (EC2V) or York (YO10).
