Fixed-term for 8 months

Applications are invited for a short 8 months post-doctoral research position concerned with the atomistic modelling of nuclear graphite, in the School of Science at Loughborough University, funded by EPSRC. The work will mainly involve running in-house developed software to investigate the deformation of nuclear graphite. It is not expected that new models will be developed within the time scale of the project. Liaising with materials scientists and an ability to interpret physical data will be essential requirements of the job. The successful candidate will also be expected to be familiar with modern UNIX, Python and high performance computing.
