Senior Video Producer (Learning Technologist)

King's College London - Informatics and Technology Enhanced Learning Hub (iTEL Hub)

The E-learning Video Producer (Learning Technologist) will work as part of the iTEL Hub team of Learning Technologists at the Dental Institute (KCLDI) and the Florence Nightingale Faculty for Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (FNFNMPC). They will lead the production of high quality video-based learning resources ranging from educational films, 360 videos, animations, etc.

The postholder will be responsible for the technical aspects of filming, including setting up, lighting and sound both in studio and on location, and directing people being filmed to ensure best performance. They will take responsibility for the studio equipment, ensuring that requirements are met and that equipment is well-maintained and functioning. The purpose of this role is to support the team to design, develop, implement and evaluate learning and teaching technologies.

Learning Technologists at both faculties manage various e-learning projects (small and large scale) and are involved in the development, delivery and support of blended and distance learning programmes. As both KCLDI and FNFNMPC offers fully online distance learning programmes the post holder is expected to have expertise in instructional design.

The post holder must also have sufficient technical, computing and audio-visual skills (including HTML, CSS, wireframe, photography and filming and graphics design) in order to produce high quality interactive multimedia resources and to provide guidance and training to students and staff on the use of digital technologies and learning technology solutions.
