Research Associate/Senior Research Associate

We are looking for a Research Scientist who will participate as a member of a research and clinical team. The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to develop and evaluate data analysis algorithms including clinical validation of developed methods, and to assist in technical aspects of clinical research projects and clinical trials that utilize nuclear medicine imaging.

A research-oriented scientist is required to join the research team at UCL to work on development of image analysis algorithms and to support ongoing clinical research using PET/CT, PET/MRI, SPECT and SPECT/CT.

This post is funded for two years in the first instance.

Applicants must have a good first degree in physics, engineering or computer science or equivalent (2:1 or higher) and a PhD (or doctoral thesis near completion/submission) in medical physics, medical image analysis or related area including substantial elements of medical image processing.

Training (either a course or during project) in analysis of PET or SPECT data in a clinical context is also required.
