University of Edinburgh

We are seeking an independent and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow for 2 years for a project to analyse adaptive myelination in the CNS. The project will be run in the ffrench-Constant group in the CRM and is funded by the Wellcome Trust. The project will be based around transgenic manipulation, live imaging and behavioural experiments, focussing initially on the role of endothelin receptor signalling. The overall aim is to identify critical pathways that underpin the plasticity of myelin throughout life and devise strategies for enhancing its plasticity during aging and following injury.
