EMS Admissions Operations Manager

The University is seeking to appoint an Admissions Operations Manager who will play a full and active role in the management and further development of both enquiries and applications systems within the university.

We are looking for a strong analytical thinker, with an excellent ability to problem-solve. If you also have experience of managing and motivating a large team within a university admissions environment this could be the ideal role for you.

As Admissions Operations Manager you will:

Be accountable for delivery of university-wide, high quality, robust, resilient, responsive and secure, technical solutions to ensure delivery of Admissions IT Services in line with the university’s strategic goals.

Apply specialist admissions expertise to respond to and resolve customer requests/incidents/ problems and continually improve the customer experience.

Work in partnership with academic and administration managers, staff and students, to identify issues, trends and problems which may have a university-wide impact on recruitment and admissions.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • degree or equivalent, or extensive relevant managerial experience, and preferably hold a relevant professional qualification or evidence of CPD.
  • GCSE English and maths or equivalent.
  • Ability to proactively engage with, and manage, a team of staff and wider stakeholders in order to ensure their engagement and input meet specified deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task to meet fixed deadlines and performance goals.

Recruitment and Admissions Office, Enrolment Management Services

The Recruitment and Admissions Office is responsible for all the processes relating to undergraduate and graduate student admissions in the university. The office receives in the order of 80,000 enquiries a year and a total of 15,000 graduate applications and 30,000 undergraduate applications leading to the admission of approximately 7,000 (5500 undergraduate and 1500 postgraduate) new students.
