Research Associate in AAV Biology and AAV Gene Therapy

The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £36,613 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance. 

This post will be fixed term contract for 1 year.

This is a full-time post (100 % full time equivalent).

We are looking for a highly motivated research associate with experience in molecular biology to join the group of Els Henckaerts to work on a collaborative project to identify cellular proteins that interfere with recombinant AAV vector production. The successful candidate will be responsible to test previously identified candidates in various viral replication paradigms to confirm target mechanism and pathway and apply newly gained information for the improvement of AAV gene therapy vector production.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with academic and industrial collaborators and should therefore exhibit strong organisational and communication skills.

The candidate must have a PhD in molecular biology or equivalent subject. Experience in molecular virology is an advantage.
