About the Post

The Head of Procure to Pay is the senior professional role responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing the corporate procure to pay strategy and policies in support of the University’s strategic objectives. The post holder will challenge existing practices to ensure conformity of approach, generate economies of scale and deliver better value for money.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice to University budget holders, purchasers and contract managers in respect of all stages of key procure to pay activity and monitoring these activities throughout the University. The post holder will guide and steer procure to pay activities and promote and co-ordinate specific training to enable the development of procure to pay expertise across the University, ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations.

The University has brought together a new Procure to Pay team from a range of backgrounds. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team produces outputs which reflect the needs of end users and that the team interacts positively with a client base across and outside the University. You will support and guide the team to ensure and inspire a high level of performance.
