Duties and Responsibilities

This post is based between the UCL Cancer Institute and UCLH Hospital. 
The Role Holder (RH) will develop their own translational or clinical research programme in lung cancer, with support from the Chair in Radiation Oncology, Professor Sharma, and the wider UCL Cancer Institute academic community and central administration. 

The appointee will be a member of the UCL Cancer Institute and will work closely with Professor Sharma, Professor Ledermann and the UCLH Clinical Director of Cancer Services to lead Interactions between UCL and UCLH Clinical commitments will include out-patient clinic and radiotherapy planning for patients with Lung Cancer.

The post holder will be expected to contribute to the administrative, teaching and research activities within the UCL Cancer Institute and UCLH. All consultants represent the department on various committees within the Trust as well as taking responsibility for particular delegated areas according to their interests and availability. The Clinical Director is responsible for delegating these responsibilities.

Key Requirements

The applicant must hold GMC registration and have a Medical degree and also have a Higher academic degree e.g. MD/MS or PhD (or in final stages of preparation), or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications.

FRCR or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in Clinical Oncology is also essential.
