Clinical Research Fellow

The University of Edinburgh - Liver Stem Cell and Regeneration Group

The Clinical Research Fellow will work with the liver stem cell and regeneration group (http://www.crm.ed.ac.uk/research/group/liver-stem-cells-and-regeneration) on a MRC funded research grant looking at autologous macrophage cell therapy for liver cirrhosis (http://www.crm.ed.ac.uk/news/cell-therapy-trial-offers-new-hope-liver-disease-patients). This will involve helping to run a phase 2 randomised trial of cell therapy for liver cirrhosis.

The post holder will work closely with the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (https://www.wtcrf.ed.ac.uk), the clinical apharesis unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh the CRIC (Clinical Research Imaging Centre Edinburgh, www.cric.ed.ac.uk).

Person Specification

  • Medically qualified with MRCP or MRCS with experience at registrar level.
