Lecturer in Primary Art Education

This post is a lectureship in Primary Art Education, teaching and developing the BA Primary Education Subject Specialism for Art and contributing to the curriculum Art modules across the primary ITE programmes.

The Institute of Education has recently had a successful Ofsted inspection and is one of the few HEI providers given a three year trainee teacher allocation, along with a larger quota for the number of trainee teachers that can be recruited.

You will have:

  • Recent and relevant experience of teaching Art in primary schools or ITT.
  • Expert knowledge of Art curriculum and contemporary best practice in this area.
  • Technical knowledge of a range of Art practices.
  • A degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
