Professor and Head of Department of Nursing and Midwifery

The School of Human and Health Sciences is looking for a talented Nursing and Midwifery academic to lead the newly created Department of Nursing and Midwifery. The new department brings together academic staff engaged in research and teaching in Nursing and Midwifery with the aim of building on existing strengths and raising the national and international profile of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Huddersfield.  

You will hold a PhD, and have a strong national and international profile in an area of research relevant to the Department and School evidenced by a substantial track record of high quality publications, external grant income and PhD completions. You will have significant experience in a senior role of leading, motivating and managing a range of academic staff, building research capacity and ensuring effective and efficient delivery of a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.  As a member of the School Executive Team, you will contribute to strategic planning and implementation to achieve key performance indicators within the School and University Strategy.
