About Us: Global Banking School offers investment banking corporate training to students as well as corporate clients globally. We deliver Undergraduate and Postgraduate qualifications in partnership with our two partners (Bucks New University and University of Bedfordshire)

We are currently seeking Full Time Admission Manager


(a) To support the provision of an effective and efficient admissions service for the Global Banking School (GBS) and partners DAP’s in the recruitment of students and to support the provision of management information for the same.

(b) To manage the daily operations of the Student Recruitment & Admission, developing a strong customer service culture to ensure delivery of a first class applicant experience. In addition to managing a proactive admissions team, this is a strategic role that requires the post-holder to develop strong student recruitment and conversion strategies that ensure the GBS continues to recruit well in a challenging economic climate. This is a senior role that requires strong liaison and cooperation with other senior managers across the School.

Main Responsibilites


  • Work closely with the senior management to ensure that student recruitment and school’s liaison activity compliment and partner recruitment and admissions processes. This is crucial to ensure GBS L&T strategies, widening participation commitments are delivered.
  • To manage the daily operations of the Student Admissions & Recruitment. Workloads must be prioritised to ensure that service level agreements are met and key deadlines achieved.
  • Ensure that admissions and recruitment procedures are followed in line with the GBS’s, partners DAP’s admissions policy and UCAS regulations, advising the Assistant Director Student Services on operational difficulties that may impact the successful recruitment of students
  • To be responsible for the development and implementation of student recruitment and conversion strategies to increase enquiries, applications and conversion to all programmes across the School.
  • Regularly analyse enquiries and admissions data advising the Assistant Director Student Services of enquiry trends to inform the development of new products.
  • Managing the planning and co-ordination the School Open days and other School events. Liaising with faculty staff and other staff across the School delivering the event itself.
  • To liaise and network with other external partners relevant to admissions and recruitment including QAA, SLC, Student Finance England and other relevant external bodies.
  • To maintain accurate records in accordance with GBS requirements, ensuring compliance and maintenance of relevant systems.
  • To undertake CPD as directed from time to time in order to maintain currency in the specialist area
  • Keep all documentation/records up-to-date and in order.
  • To provide the Admission reports from the recruitments for statistical, evaluation and quality purposes.

Planning & Organisation

  • To contribute to GBS quality assurance systems and processes.
  • To work with project teams / working groups to support the achievement of project objectives as may be required.
  • To engage / comply with staff management processes, e.g. Staff Development Programme (SDP)
  • To maintain information and documentation on the service in the delivery of duties as required.
  • To identify and implement improvements to the Student Admissions & Recruitment, taking account of student and staff feedback, changes to policy, strategy or external environment.


  • To undertake staff development appropriate to the post as may be identified and required from time to time, and in accordance with the GBS’s Staff Development Programme.
  • To observe and implement health and safety responsibilities as specified within the GBS’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • To demonstrate professionalism in the role as a representative of the GBS, incorporating GBS core values in the delivery of duties.
  • To observe equality and diversity practices and procedures and promote equality of opportunity at all times.
  • To observe and adhere to all GBS policies relevant to the role.
  • To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested.

Liaison with Staff at GBS

(a) To liaise with the Assistant Director Student Services, Director of Quality Enhancement, Programme Leads and other GBS staff, as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Significant experience of the Admissions process in HEI/AP
  • A high degree of computer literacy (particularly Microsoft Office applications)
  • The ability to use statistics and Database management
