Main Purpose
Teaching

  • Responsible for the effective delivery of the teaching, assessment and quality assurance of modules or other equivalent components of the taught portfolio to an International audience.
  • Responsible for reviewing course / module content and materials, and developing, designing and updating materials in compliance with quality standards and the partnership agreement.
  • Contributing to the wider academic community with demonstrable impact and recognition to institutional teaching impact and esteem
  • Advancing Practice by demonstrating how innovation, contribution and development have informed practice
  • Hold professional recognition or a professional teaching qualification, or undertake and complete a professional teaching qualification if not already held.
  • Contribute to project/dissertation supervision both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across the School.
  • The post-holder will join the Department of Accounting and Finance at Swansea University although the teaching will be undertaken at Huanghuai University in China.

Management

  • Maintain contacts with the School of management to contribute to appropriate school committees and related activities.
  • Participate in promotional activities such as open days, clearing and school visits.
  • Participate in activities of the School aimed at enhancing employability, skills and student engagement.
  • Carry out relevant managerial duties associated with academic posts, for example, student recruitment, induction, teaching and assessment.

Research

  • Demonstrate awareness of current research and knowledge in the field and integrate this into teaching by developing practice in the light of this activity.
  • Conduct research or other systematic investigations into learning and teaching or of engagement in pedagogic and professional practitioner innovation and apply it to curriculum development and delivery.
  • Make applications to secure the resources necessary to underpin research activity or innovative teaching
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, seminars or workshops with external reach/impact.
