Research Nurse (Fixed Term)

The Department of Radiology is looking to appoint a Research Nurse to work with the Department's full-time and part-time Research Nurses on the various on-going clinical trials (e.g. cancer studies as well as other imaging studies). This new post is partly funded by CRUK Cambridge Centre.

The role holder will assist in the recruitment of patients to imaging studies within Radiology and will help coordinate clinic visits and imaging examinations for such patients. S/he will assist in accurate record keeping with particular reference to case report files and databases and will assist with monitoring visits and to liaise closely with and be the first point of contact for all recruited patients.

Previous involvement in research/clinical studies is desirable. Experience of dealing with members of the public and a willingness to work as part of a team are essential. The successful applicant will be expected to work within the framework of Good Clinical Practice.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2022 in the first instance.
