We have an exciting opportunity for a Personnel Officer to join the Personnel Team within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) located at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford.

You will be responsible for providing personnel support to research groups within NDORMS, in liaison with the Personnel Manager and the Deputy Personnel Manager. Duties will involve being the main point of contact for personnel queries for research and administrative staff based within the Kadoorie Centre, Centre for Statistics in Medicine, and other research groups across the department, being responsible for specific aspects of personnel administration (including coordination of recruitment processes, appointments and contracts, benefits and reward) for the centres and providing staff with specialist advice and guidance on personnel procedures as required.

You should be educated to A Level or equivalent standard and have previous experience of interpreting policies based on established procedures and guidance, as well as knowledge of current and forthcoming changes to employment law. Ability to communicate effectively and to build effective working relationships with immediate colleagues, staff and other departments is also essential. A Certificate in Personnel Practice or similar qualification and experience of personnel within a Higher Education environment would be an advantage.
