Are you interested in working for a world top 100 university?

The Department of Human Communication Sciences wishes to recruit a part-time University Teacher with a background in speech and language therapy for a fixed-term appointment.

For this post, we seek candidates with clinical expertise in communication development and paediatric communication disorders. You will play a key role in delivering and enhancing the department’s teaching and related clinical activities in speech and language therapy. The job will also involve administrative duties such as programme level support for our undergraduate degree in speech and language therapy. Applicants must have a higher degree in a relevant subject area, a qualification in speech and language therapy, and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading centres for teaching and research in human communication. The Department offers two longstanding pre-qualification courses in Speech and Language Therapy (undergraduate and postgraduate). We also offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in the areas of human speech, language, and communication. The Department has a vibrant Communication Clinic which hosts a range of activities for clinical teaching, research, and civic engagement.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
