We are currently recruiting an experienced deep learning systems engineer to work alongside our research team to implement and optimise algorithms for different deep learning frameworks. The successful candidate will work closely with our researchers. You will be responsible for writing highly optimised cpu/gpu implementations of various research algorithms, implemented in our deep learning stack, that are robust and production ready for training and deployment.

Daily activities might include:

  • Understanding and converting a research prototype to be implemented in the Anyvision deep learning stack.
  • Port existing features of different frameworks like caffe2, pytorch, cntk, tensorflow, mxnet to each other and the Anyvision deep learning stack where necessary.
  • Implement highly optimised CUDA implementations of in-house algorithms.
  • Implement thin libraries for low powered edge device deployment.
  • Support the researchers about the architectures of different deep learning frameworks and design middleware tools to simplify training and deployment. 

The overall compensation package is highly competitive including a very attractive base salary (depending on experience), relocation assistance, plus potential for employee stock options.

Qualifications and skills:

Minimum:

  • BSc degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline/equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in C++, Cuda, Python
  • Significant experience in various deep learning frameworks including but not limited to caffe, mxnet, cntk, tensorflow, pytorch etc.
  • Track record of active development in open source deep learning frameworks
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Significant relevant experience, including significant industry experience.
  • Experience of machine learning
  • Experience with Android/iOS GPU development
