The Faculties of Arts & Humanities and Social & Historical Sciences are made up of 15 academic departments and a number of strategically important research centres. The Faculties provide teaching and research in a wide range of subject areas in all aspects of the humanities and social sciences. The Joint Faculty Research Impact Manager’s primary responsibility will, in the first instance, be to ensure the provision of effective administrative, strategic, and logistical support for REF2021 across both Faculties. The post holder will also help embed the impact aspirations of UCL’s 2034 strategy and the RCUK Impact agenda by supporting impact-related activities relating to research grants, as well as advising on and promoting other outward-facing research activities.

The Joint Faculty Research Impact Manager will act as the primary point of contact for academic and research staff in relation to research impact, including enterprise and public engagement. The post-holder will provide strategic and operational support to the Deans and Vice-Deans Research (VDRs) for REF2021 and further impact-related activities within the Joint Faculties. The role is critical to showcasing the significant research being conducted in the Joint Faculties, requiring the appropriate understanding and capabilities to support the development and delivery of research impact and engagement strategies.
