Fixed term appointment until 31 August 2020, part time 28 hours per week

The Department of Chemical Engineering welcomes applications for the post of Project Manager for two major new research projects: PharmaSEL (associated with modelling and design of pharmaceutical products and processes) and ELEGANCY (associated with carbon capture and storage and hydrogen-based energy technology).

The post-holder will be responsible for the successful running of these two research projects in conjunction with the Project Directors. The role will include project management and administration, communication, organising meetings and events, financial management and reporting. The post holder will interact with the Project Directors, other investigators, research staff and students, external research partners and the research sponsors.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, and preferably to PhD level or equivalent, in a science or engineering discipline, have experience of university research, project management and financial management. The post holder must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong IT skills.

This is a fixed term appointment, at 80% full-time equivalent, until 31 August 2020 but may be extended subject to continued funding.
