Birmingham City University - Marketing & Communications Department

Location: University House, City Centre Campus

Our new Staff and Student Communications Manager will play a leading role in how we inform and engage with the 27,000-strong Birmingham City University community.

Working across our estate, you and your team will devise and deliver an internal communications plan, engaging staff with the University’s exciting direction and supporting your 2,800 colleagues in understanding and contributing to its development.

We want you to play a key role in ensuring our 24,000 students are front and centre of university life, celebrating their successes, understanding their concerns and communicating change in a clear and positive way.

You will be comfortable working with a whole range of individuals and groups, ranging from security staff to first-year students, and from librarians to the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

You will draw on strong experience of communicating and engaging with internal audiences in large and complex organisations, developing communications plans, producing great content and working with others to deliver excellent team performance.

You will be joining an ambitious Marketing and Communications team, responsible for attracting students to study with us at a hugely exciting period in the Birmingham City University story. We are a major part of the transformation of Birmingham, with a £260m investment in two superb campuses right at the heart of this great city.
