The Department of Law at Queen Mary University of London is seeking to appoint three part-time Chairs in Global Law (0.2 to 0.3 FTE).

Queen Mary, part of the prestigious University of London, is one of the top UK research universities and a member of the Russell Group of leading UK universities.

The Department of Law is firmly established as a centre of national and international excellence in legal study and research and was ranked ninth in England for the proportion of research ranked as being of international or world excellence, in the latest Research Assessment Exercise (REF2014). The Department was also ranked third in the UK and first in London in the Guardian University Guide 2018 subject league tables and 37 in the in the QS Global rankings for Law in 2017.

We are seeking applications from world-leading scholars who will contribute to the Department’s academic life (including both our teaching and research activities) and actively promote the Department’s internationalisation agenda.

Applicants must have a PhD, experience of teaching and assessment in higher education, demonstrable experience in research with an excellent publication record and a proven ability to obtain grant funding for research in Global Law. Please refer to the job description for further details.

The posts are part time (between 0.2 and 0.3 FTE) and permanent, starting on 1 September 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. The starting salary will be competitive, within the professorial range and inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, an interest-free season ticket loan, and a defined benefit pension scheme.
