Senior Instructor in German

Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 with a discretionary range to £42,418 p.a.

The Faculty are seeking to appoint a Senior Instructor in German from 1 January 2018 to 30 June 2018. The postholder has responsibility for coordinating Faculty language teaching in German; for planning and delivering most of the central classes; and for examining (in consultation with the Sub-faculty of German). The Senior Instructor also teaches some classes at the University’s Language Centre, which are open to all students and staff.

Applicants must possess: fluency in German equivalent to native-speaker or near-native level; a first degree in a relevant subject (language, literature, or linguistics); experience in teaching the language as a foreign language in higher education.
