Research Operations Support Coordinator

Kingston University - Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education - Research Support Operations

Sitting within one of the Faculty’s professional administration and support teams based in Tooting, this role will involve day-to-day responsibility for operations in two key areas of activity, namely postgraduate research student administration, and post-award support for funded research and enterprise activity.

The Person
With demonstrable experience of working in Higher Education, you will be highly organised and adept at interpersonal communication to help the Faculty meet its goals, and be able to manage your time flexibly according to changing priorities and deadlines. To best service the business needs of the Faculty as a joint enterprise between Kingston University and St George’s, University of London, you will develop a thorough knowledge of the regulations and priorities of both universities.

The Faculty
The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education is a unique partnership between Kingston University and St George’s, University of London, to offer preregistration and post-qualifying courses in education, allied health and social work.

Both universities work closely with employers to provide practical and theoretical teaching and skills development using the latest technologies and facilities. By proactively responding to employer and sector changes, the partnership is a major influencer on policies, practice, and shaping the future healthcare workforce in London.

In the HEFCE Research Excellence Framework (2014), 74 per cent of the Faculty’s research was deemed world-leading or internationally excellent, and all of the pre-registration degree courses were ranked first, second or third in London (Guardian League Table, 2017).

With more than 3,000 students based at campuses in Kingston and Tooting, the Faculty offers courses in education, nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, radiography, rehabilitation sciences, and social work; as well as a range of workforce development modules programmes and CPD.
