Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Signal Processing for Communications

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Oxford Communications Research Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by EPSRC and is available for a fixed-term of 18 months.

The aim of the project is to develop new encoding/decoding approaches for index modulation systems, and to integrate these techniques in a state-of-the-art software/hardware platform, which will be developed with the help of a leading industrial partner. You will be responsible for the inception, development and execution of research related to index modulation, and for liaising with senior academics and the project partner, as well as postdoctoral and graduate researchers, to maintain a smooth flow of information.

You should possess a PhD/DPhil (or be near completion), together with relevant experience; you will need a proven research track record in signal processing for communication system design with the ability to manage your own research and associated activities; excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results are also essential.
