MPhil/MSc Coordinator

The Department of Politics and International Relations is seeking an individual to join our busy Courses Team to provide administrative support for our MPhil and MSc programmes in Politics and International Relations. The postholder will look after two MPhils (MPhil in International Relations and MPhil in Political Theory) and one MSc programme (MSc in Political Theory Research) and will provide support to the relevant Course Directors and the Director of Research Training in the coordination of these courses and act as a first point of contact for all prospective and current students.

The main responsibilities will be organising admissions and examinations processes, arranging teaching timetables, providing committee support, acting as a first point of contact for all prospective and current students and preparing and updating course materials and publicity documents.

The successful candidate should have proven skills or experience equivalent to those derived from holding a degree, have good organisational and IT skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential with the ability to relate well to students and academic staff. The postholder will have a flexible attitude along with the ability to be a good team player and to work independently, when required.

The post is full-time, permanent and available immediately.
